For a long time I've felt that we have been far too easy on our initiates. They serve six months, they're good people, they're in. It's just how it is, and it was like that for most of us.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it hasn't worked out. I know each and every one of you. I love the person each one of you is. I just feel like we need some solid criteria to be moving our boys up from initiate to member other than we can see them sticking around and displaying our four founding qualities.
I am firmly in my belief that every full members of the dragons should be of the ability to tutor one pupil minimum in at least one of the major four categories of our game. Therefore I propose this be adopted as an additional critia for moving past the stage of initiation into the stage of membership and request my proposal be including on our docket for Rosewood.
There should be no shame in being a dragon-in-training, even if it takes longer than six months to be fully prepared.

Also, someone mentioned secret votes on initiates and members. Now I'm not sure that's what we needed, but perhaps this suggestion was close to the right direction. I really feel that initiates should not be present for their own voting. Their sponsor should be, and if we decide we need to hear from the initiate, they should be around to speak on their own behalf, but voting on initiates should be closed and only for members and officers. Now, since we've just discussed this at the NLCC I'm not sure we should add it to any docket any time soon. Pac War should be far enough away, though, to discuss officially at more length and hold a vote on it.
Sharing my thoughts and hoping it brings a bit more order to things.
